Channel Hop
Your Offshore Sailing Adventure
Channel hops are ideal for those looking to experience offshore sailing and cross the English Channel for the first time. Once land disappears over the horizon, you’ll navigate through some of the busiest shipping lanes in the world—an exciting and rewarding challenge for any sailor.
After making landfall in France or the Channel Islands, there’s time to relax and explore the local area before preparing for the return passage. These trips are a firm favourite with those eager to gain offshore experience, log sea miles, and enjoy the thrill of sailing beyond sight of land.
All trips start and finish at Portland Marina in Weymouth, offering direct access to some of the best sailing waters on the South Coast.
If you have a group (3+) we can usually add a date that suits you. Midweek Channel Hops are always popular with groups. Contact us to discuss you requirements.
